| Karsten founded and continues to own a product development, marketing and distribution company in Roseville MN. He began selling on eBay a few years ago, and now closes from 50-80 auctions daily. With over 10,000 eBay transactions in the past 12 months you can be assured that he has extensive experience with eBay selling. As an expert in advanced eBay selling tactics, Karsten often shared his methods and ideas for better selling with fellow sellers. He decided in 2004 to receive formal training and become an Education Specialist trained by eBay and in 2006 achieved the advanced level of certification of Business Consultant. Since then Karsten has taught over 500 students "The Basics of Selling On eBay". He teaches the Basics of Selling and the Beyond the Basics classes in individual and group settings in locations all over the midwest and has even taught as far away as Texas, California and Florida. "Mixing humor and personal eBay stories", Karsten attests, "makes the material interesting and memorable". He also shows students how to maximize sales profits, and how to build sales volume on eBay, allowing many sellers to make eBay into a part-time or full-time business. Karsten teaches how to successfully sell: new and used products, closeouts, overstock, surplus, discontinued merchandise, returned items, refurbished, broken or damaged items, samples and more. Paying tuition to "the school of hard knocks" can be very expensive according to Karsten. He reveals many secrets that would otherwise take years for new eBay sellers to figure out, and only through expensive experimentation. Whether a student wants to learn how to sell only a few items from the back of their garage, or truckloads of overstock and refurbished items, Karsten can help students get started in the right direction. "Build a good foundation and your eBay business can grow", declares Karsten, but "should a seller get started in the wrong direction, they may never acheive the success they are looking for by selling on eBay".
